M. Kanka starts his pedagogic activity at the Academy of performing arts in Prague.

On the 3rd of September M. Kaňka played the cello concerto by A. Dvorak in Prague Rudolfinum in cooperation with the Philharmonic Dresden and conductor R. Frühbeck.The concert was part of the international music festival „Dvorak Prague“.

On the 24th of May played M. Kaňka his recital on the International music festival Prague spring (Beethoven, Kvech, Martinu, Chopin)

On the 24th of April 2010 played Michal Kanka 2 cello recitals in the international music festival Dias da Música in Lisbon. Both concerts were recorded by the Antena 2 and broadcasted in the network of European broadcasting association.

Ot the 24th of September M. Kaňka together with the conductor Petr Vronský opened the new season 09/10 of the Moravian philharmonic orchestra Olomouc. On the concert which was directly transmited in the Czech radio they perfomed the 1st cello concerto by B. Martinů.

Together with the chief conductor V. Válek M. Kaňka performed the Concerto op. 104 by A. Dvořák on the opening concert of the new season 09/10 of the Czech radio symphony orchestra.
